Where your donation goes.....

With the two current neglect cases, our bills are through the roof. Come spend a day and you will see that even our money for our bills is going to these horses right now. Try explaining that to bill collector!

Our finances are public record. You may go to Guidestar.org and view our tax returns or come visit and ask to see them. If we are out at an event, we keep them on the table in a binder that has all of our financial records. We do not hide anything.

If you come into our home you will see that the animals come first. Our washing machine is broken, the couch is in pieces (literally), the refrigerator has a broken door, up until 8/9/2010, we did not even have working AC in the house this year. The garage door hasn't shut in a year (that probably drives the neighbors crazy). Your donations go to the animals at 100%. Our money goes to the animals at 75%.

WE pay all the electric, water and other land expenses and do not ever charge those expenses to the rescue. WE pay for 90% of the support for these animals every year. Our tax records are accessible by the public. If you don't want to research them, please give us a call. We actually keep them in a binder for public viewing and they are displayed at any event we are set up at. All board members names, addresses, and credentials are also displayed and available to the public. We also have our Secretary of State credentials, our State Wildlife Rehab permit, State non-profit certificate, IRS 501(c)3 certificate, and current certificate of exsistence on public display when we set up. We are open our home to these animals and to the public to view them.

If you prefer to donate directly to our expenses, we would appreciate that as well. We have decided to post a list of expenses so that donations can be made directly:

Our Vet is

Bright Vet Clinic

The account is under Julie Saylor-Hammond Spoiled Acres Rescue Inc. We almost always owe them money!

Our farrier is

Pardue Shoeing

To trim everyone on the property the cost is $740.00 every 8 weeks.

Honest John's

We purchase his allstock. He is aware of which feed we purchase and can help you with your donation. He also sells hay and we purchase some from time to time. John knows how to get a hold of us if you want to purchase from him and have us pick it up.

Aurora Farm and Garden

They have become a Purina dealer so we will be purchasing our Purnia Senior feeds from them. We also purchase the dogs Diamond lamb and rice there. We have to have lamb and rice due to the sick dog having allergies.

Fletchers Feed and Supply

We purchase beet pulp from them right now. We used to purchase all of our feed from them, but with gas prices, it is just too far to drive. We haven't used them in a while, but they have always been very nice to us. If gas prices would cooperate, we would love to use them. The horses loved their feed.
