If anyone is fundraising on behalf of Spoiled Acres Rescue Inc, they will be wearing an official Spoiled Acres Rescue ID badge. If you see someone fundraising that is not wearing a badge, you may ask to see their ID before donating. If they are unable to produce an official Badge, do not donated and contact 812-577-5532 immediately to report a violation.

We have had fundraising supplies (flyers and display boards) turn up missing. They were borrowed by a volunteer and not returned. We are now being told several different stories about where the supplies are. To ensure that people are not being mislead, we have decided to have official badges for our board members.

Board member badges will have the logo, the members name, and their position. Volunteers will also be issued a badge for the time that they are volunteering only. Those badges will have volunteer on them with the logo. All badges have the phone number for the rescue as well. A picture of the offical badge types are pictured below:

Our newest additions

We were looking for a friend for Dinky. He gets really lonley and he doesn't like the horses. We found some people that had beautiful donkeys. The Penick family take wonderful care of their donkeys. We found one we thought would work as a friend. Well, one ended up being two thanks to the Penick's. They were concerned about separating the little guys. We will give them a good home. The Boys and girls club, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and everyone else that visits will spoil them rotten.

We have three and a half new little friends. Honey is a buckskin beauty that we adore. Summer is a wonderful black mare that is expecting. Luke is a sweet little guy who now has a couple of little friends. All three of these are going to be used as mascots at fundraisers. they are small enough to go with us to a lot of events and teach children about horses. They all three came from good homes and were not abused or neglected. They are all gentle enough for even youngsters to handle.

This story isn't as nice. I will not go into details, but we are working with these little ones hoping they make it....
